Bigger Bras Aren’t Sexy?

“I’m too fat to wear pretty bras!”
“No one makes any cute bras in my size!”
“With boobs this big I HAVE to wear a minimizer!”
“The only bras that fit me are hideous!”
“I cannot be above a D cup! Do they even make those?!? I’m just gonna go live in a cave.”

Women are really good at hating their bodies. And society is really good at helping them do so. Sorry to tell you this, unhealthy-societal-pressures-that-make-women-hate-their-bodies, but none of those statements up there are true.

Why I Started On My Fit Journey

For a long time, I had no idea whatsoever what size bra I should be in. All through middle and high school I pretty much wore whatever bras seemed to fit best (and that I/my parents could afford) in the 34-36 B-C range. None of them seemed perfect, but at the time I figured that was as good as it was ever going to get. Knowing what I know now, I should have been in a much smaller band. Possibly a larger cup, too, but definitely a smaller band, being as I currently weigh at least 20 pounds more than I did at my heaviest in high school. Continue reading
