A few months ago I wrote a post about proper bra washing. At that time I was washing my delicates with borax and baby shampoo, and that works just fine, but I’ve been curious about all of the different lingerie washes available. One that I’ve seen mentioned a lot is Soak, which I’ve actually come across more often in the crocheting corners of the internet that I lurk in than the lingerie corners.Continue reading
Hold on to your hats, here comes some honesty! And probably incorrect grammar. And maybe some spelling mistakes.
Yeah, I haven’t written a post in three weeks. I have three reviews to write. I’ve missed several Wishlist Wednesdays and Something Else Sundays. I’ve barely glanced at Facebook or Pinterest lately. I’ve only read a handful of bra blog posts over the past few weeks; usually I read at least a handful a day. So what’s my problem?
I’m having a hard time liking my body right now. Continue reading
If anyone is interested, I have some bras for sale on Bratabase. I would prefer to manage the transactions through Bratabase itself because I agree with the owner that it’s nice when the bras remain in-network for research purposes. So hop on over there and check it out. And if you don’t have an account, make one! US shipping costs are included in all of the prices. I can ship worldwide, but I may need to add a shipping cost. All payments through Paypal.
Here’s what I’m selling (my reviews are linked if I wrote one):
Hi, you guys! I know I’ve been MIA for a couple of weeks, but I’m back now. Today I have some basic lingerie gifting advice for you, and a preview of some stuff that I’ll be reviewing soon.
If anyone was wondering, it turns out that what I went to the ER for was just a really bad stomach bug. Which is, to be honest, still hanging around (or has exasperated my slight IBS) but I don’t have to live in the bathroom anymore. So…yay!
Sadly, the $50 Sophisticated Pair giveaway has come to an end. Happily, we have a winner!
Congratulations, Lori! I’ll contact you to let you know what to do next! And a huge thank you to everyone that entered!
I’ve had two goals lately:
So I contacted Erica, one of the owners of A Sophisticated Pair and she generously offered to match my contribution towards a prize amount for the winner of my giveaway. She’s very sweet, by the way.

A few cool things have happened lately. The first thing is that the blog has broken it’s personal record for page views for the past 3 days, consecutively. Not huge numbers by any means, but still awesome. Generally I try not to pay too much attention to my stats, but record-breaking is always fun. And who knows? Maybe someday I’ll get enough hits to earn dozens of dollars a year from advertising. Dozens, I tell you! You jealous? I think I’ll buy a pony then. Anyway, thanks, everyone!
The second cool thing is that Lunaire has offered to send me one of their bras to review! I’ve been walking around all dazed and smiley because of it. A lot of bloggers receive products to review, but I never assumed that I would, especially so soon. My blog is pretty new, and my following (while growing steadily) is nowhere near the following of most of the bloggers that I admire. I offer my sincere appreciation to Lunaire for giving me this opportunity.
Why am I jabbering to you guys about this stuff? I’m feeling celebratory! And I want to share all the happy feelings. So I’m planning to do a giveaway soon! I haven’t worked out any details at all yet! (Everyone just said “Yay!…Wait, nope.” I’m sorry!) But I will get something together, so keep an eye out!
content note: I’m going to be talking about body-shaming stuff. If that’s a trigger for you, proceed with caution. Also, this post contains more swear words than normal. (Man, I thought I was done with writing trigger warning when I abandoned my old blog.) By the way, this post is pretty long. If you start to get bored and want to give up, do yourself a favor and check out the links at the bottom before you leave.
Several other amazing bra bloggers are tackling the theme “redefining sexy” this month. I think that’s a great topic, both as a bra blogger and as a feminist. It’s really interesting hearing all of the other viewpoints, and I thought I’d throw my own two cents in. So how do I define “sexy”?
Short answer: I’m not sure, actually. Oh, you want the long answer? Well, it’s pretty complicated. I’ll try to condense my thoughts down to a readable amount. And I’m going to try to relate this mostly to what I find sexy in the lingerie world, otherwise I’m going to end up writing a novel.
My life isn’t all bras, all the time. So Sundays will be the day that I talk about other stuff that I like. Because it’s my blog and I can do whatever I want!
So you guys know what else I like? Perfume!
